Hi all, my name is Will. I live near San Francisco in sunny California. I've enjoyed photography all my life, but have been more serious about it for the last 3 years, following a DSLR Christmas gift.

I'm an avid hiker and retired club motorcycle racer, so most of my portfolio has to do with the outdoors or 2-wheeled motorsport. I'm looking forward to getting to know the folks here and continuing to learn.

I look forward to seeing some beautiful California scenery. Might cheer us up in grey, rainy, cold Britain in the winter.
 
Lived in SF Sunset district for a while in my 20's. I absolutely LOVE SF!

Ruth - The Sunset is one of the most optimistically named neighborhoods I think there is. When we first moved here we lived across the park in the Richmond district and almost froze to death in July and forgot what the sun actually looked like.

Now in mid-winter, it's a little chilly but the sun is out most of the time. We do love it here.

Will, I know what you mean. Whilst the SF fog is lovely to loolk at from some vistas, no-one warns you how cold it can be. I lived on 26th Ave just off Taraval.
 
A warm (well cold actually) UK welcome Will. First time I visited SF I got nicked for jaywalking and asked to pay a $10 on the spot fine. It turned out these guys were dressed like coppers but where actually collecting for charity, how could I refuse :lol: Since then it's been my favourite US city.
