Hi all,

My name is Mark and i live in Bath.

I was given a 400D as a present last May and have been using it on auto ever since. I got myself a 70-300 (i think) for it, so now have that and the 18-55 it came with.

I'm looking at getting a Canon 10-22, or even the Sigma 10-20 lens very soon, if money allows.

As mentioned above, the camera stays on auto mainly! If there's anyone near Bath that is willing to lend a hand, that'd be fantastic, as i find actually doing something easier to learn from, than reading up etc.:bonk:

Thanks,

Mark:wave:

Hello Mark welcome

evening Mark

when i started i found jessops photography school very good, I also used nikon HQ school in london, an expensive day but I learnt everything specific to the D80, great course both physical and practical.

jessops courses were only £60 each very general but will get you going if no one is local

Mark,

I started photography about 6 years ago at school, this then led to me taking GCSE and A-Level in photography. In the last couple of years i havent really had the chance to get out with the camera because of work and rugby.

I recently went to Croatia in the summer where i fell in love with taking photo's again. So i am getting back in to it all really and learning digital because while at school i shot everything in film. Were i learnt how to develop film, print etc. Which is what i miss the most.

So i would class my self as a newbie still in the digital world, but i am picking up all the old tricks again.

hi mark, a big welcome. enjoy the forum. kind regards. gboy.

The folks at Blackthorn School of Photography run a great series of courses if you want to get to grips with your camera/technique.

Its a slight trek from Bath as its in Cricklade Wiltshire, http://www.photography-courses.com

Be careful, it can become addictive.....
