Hi,
Andypandy here. Ihave recently joined the forum as a means of making the giant step from good snapshots to good photographs. I will greatfully accept any help or assistance the members or admin can offer.
I currently use a medium format Mamiya C330. I get the films developed professionally and have them scanned to CD. I then edit (minimum amount) these using photoshop.
This is the first time ever that i have shown my work to anyone other than immediate family. I feel so vulnerable but i have got broad shoulders so please have a look at my album and offer any comments or assistance you can.
Thank you and go on if i can offer my snaps for the world to look at i am sure other people can and together we can make this a fun and educational site for all.

Thanks again

Andypandy

Hello :D

Ive had a quick look through your gallery there and i think there are some really nice pictures in them. im not best qualified to offer critiques so i can only give my opinion, i think a little more post processing can make your good pictures into really good ones, a simple crop can transform an image dramatically. Overall nice work, i like the bird shots, more depth of field use to blur the backgrounds would make them better, and the bronte grave also would have benefited from that as well as desaturating that one...I think you can be proud, and i hope that in a few months you will have continued to add images, i look over my folders from months ago and can see now what i could have done to improve the shots, i even alter them now in PS to make them more like what i wanted to achieve..anyway carry on shooting, you can be pleased with them and i think you will really benefit from unbiased opnions that you will get here!

Hi Andy

I am glad you took me up on the suggestion to have a gallery here. I have also had alook through your images and have to agree in the main with what EosD has written. If you want to pick one or two of your pictures and post them in the gallery on the forum, I will offer you a more detailed opinion but unfortunately I don't have the time to reply on them all generally here.

Glad you joined us and look forward to seeing some more of your work

Steve
