I found Talk Photography in the iTunes app store and have been lurking without registering for a few weeks.
I first picked up a camera 3 years ago to accompany my husband who is a keen photographer. It was a Nikon Coolpix. Two years later I have a Canon 40D (same camera body as my husband) and am hooked.
Most weekends we manage to spend a half or whole day out somewhere taking photographs and we compare our shots when we get home. Sometimes it looks like we've been in different places as we see different things but always I have taken more photographs than my husband and always he has twice as many keepers than me.
My shots are still snaps - I rush in to take the pictures and suffer the consequences. I have a Flickr account and get a bit frustrated with the lack of constructive criticism I encounter. I'm still a newbie and cannot offer constructive comment but would really appreciate it on my shots.
Looking forward to learning more from this group of like minded people.
