Hey :) First time on an official photography forum - can you believe it? been in here about an hour, and the content/threads are pretty awesome.

I'm a wedding photographer living in Coventry/Warwickshire, occassionally travelling up to Scotland for weddings. I was born in South africa, but moved to Scotland when I was 17. I met my fiancee 6 years ago, and are now planning our own wedding - eek, the stress? Moved to Coventry about 2 years ago for the O/H's job. Relocating and starting from scratch in a new area has been the most challenging thing EVER. All sorted and re-established now though, although still travel to Scotland lots.

I've been a photographer for 4-5 years now, loving where it's allowed me to end up. I photograph mainly "alternative" type weddings like marquees, DIY, all the stressful unorganised ones ;) I'm also a bit of a design geek and sometimes design websites/branding things for photographers/wedding suppliers (mainly prophoto and Divi).

It's lovely to meet you all - if anyone fancies a coffee/cake in the west midland area, or in scotland when I'm up - give me a shout!

Hope everyone's nice and sorted for Christmas!

If there are any photographers reading this, looking for a 2017 photographer planner, I highly recommend this one! If you use the code MCNALLYSGOLD you get it ridiculously reduced, which will help with postage costs! I don't get anything for sharing this , I just ordered one and it's taken me AGES to find something like it. After speaking with Rebecca from Galler.ee I managed to get us a swanky discount! .. I will say however it's better suited to (female) photographers as the branding of the planner is very femanine, and I didnt want to waste the blokes time by pointing them in direction of something pink white and gold. HOWEVER if you're a bloke who likes pretty diaries and notebooks - purchase away :)

Best wishes
Christine

Hi Christine, And welcome aboard TP. "Enjoy".

Hi there from a fellow South African also living in the UK.

Hi there. I was born and brought up in Scotland (South African mother) but have spent most of my adult life in SA. Both my own kids were born there. Don't you miss it? :)

Hi Christine. Bit of a random question, but were you on holiday in Giorgioupolis Crete, about 4 yrs ago?

Welcome BTW.
