Hi John. I'm also a BSAC diver and used to do some underwater photography. The Nomad bit is taken from a Dive club I used to be involved with. I'm an open water instructor and dive leader.Good to see other divers on the forum.

really regret the failed medical - as really enjoyed the sport

lotsa dives at St. Abbs and Loch Fyne --- highlights were 2 trips to Malta

unfortunately never got into underwater photography - maybe as well seeing the prices..!!

any to post...?

Done most of the UK sites and plenty abroad.St Abbs a real favourite. Malta and Gozo really nice. Did you do the Blue Hole and The Inland Sea then ?
I'll post a few pics up soon but I only used a film camera as like you said it got quite expensive in digital.

yes to both - excellent. Did my first 50m dive there too...distinctly remember the effects, in being convinced the surface was 'way' too far up...:D

here's my lovely dive guide from 'MaltAqua' after a cave dive....I'm the one with the distinguished hair colour..!

Hello! So if we need any advice on diving then you're the man to ask.

if you want to dive - contact the local branch of your BSAC
the training is long and involved but you become a 100% diver

there are PADDI dive courses on offer
quite adequate believe for what they cover - but are more suitable to the beginner who wishes to dive say on holiday

nevertheless I do believe they have higher grade dive courses for those who wish to advance ....all IIRC
