Hello to one and all, from a newbie. 
I have been taking photos on and off for around twenty years, but it has been mainly off. I moved from a Kodak 126 to 35m Canon compact, then to the first digital (a Sureshot A510). Finally decided it was now or never to get more serious with the hobby, so brought a Nikon D300 last month. Now I am trying to get myself up to speed with its functions.
I have been busy taking some photos back in Cumbria while on holiday. Link to a sample.
I am hoping to pick up idea off this forum on what I can do better and ideas on things I would not normally think of.
