Just registered so thought I would introduce myself before littering the forums with what I'm sure will be silly questions.
I have always loved photography, but have always limited myself to point and shoot digital cameras and dare I say it, mobile phone cameras!
As I think I have a good eye for taking good pictures I have decided to jump into the world of DSLR and after much deliberation decided to buy myself a Canon 1000D. Not the most advanced of cameras I know, but it had all I wanted and aparently has great image quality.
I'm just learning about the different options and tinkering with the modes at the moment, but I have to say that I'm excited at the possibilities open to me now. Already the difference between point and shoot and DSLR is very aparent to me.
I eventually want to photograph Wildlife and dabble in a bit of astrophotography, but I won't try to walk before I can run... I can't even stand up yet
I'm off to the basics section now to ask a question about a new lens I bought as already I am confused.
