hi there guys! i got referred to here by a friend, and will be quite active here as i have got a lot to learn lol

i am quite new to dslr's and needing a lot of experiance and help in the following months to come.

the gear i have is a cannon 1000d, cannon 7d, 15-55mm lens, 55-250mm lens, hoods for both lenses, backpack, tripod, spare batteries and a crap load of photographer's magazines lol

i will be shooting my 1st wedding this december and i am no what deluded about the ammount of practice i need to cram in for technique and to up my skills, its going to be a very long day, and the pressure i going to be all on me to perform even tho i am not getting paid a penny lol i will be doing probably the first 5 wedding for no payment at all! just to gain more experience and to get enough pics to build my portfolio :)

i know at the very least im going to need a couple of dedicated lenes (one for each slr so i do not need to do any lens changes or incase one body fails) defo going to need a couple of decent flash guns (with a ton load of batteries lol)

i know this is a mammoth task for me as i am quite fairly new, but we all need to start somewhere, and i know with 100% certainty that this is definately not going to be a walk in the park, especially with the 2 weeks + editing time lol

well i look forward to hearing from you guys and getting to know you all in the future months ahead

well what can I say but GOOD LUCK with the wedding  Oh and welcome to our happy band of toggers

why not get them to do a casual pre- wedding shoot in a local beauty spot, fire off a load of shots see how you get on and above all it will give you some confidence before the actual event, just a thought ;)

hey dave, thank you for the kind welcome mate.

got my 1000d back today from sensor cleaning, and also my new 7d arrived today so its going to be non stop practice for me now, going to the church the 1st time sunday to recke it out, would like to go there a couple times a week to practice tbh, as its open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and im permitted to take as many pics as my heart contents pre wedding day and on the day, thank god, as ive heard of some grumpy ministers that only allow 1 pic on the day or even none!!!

i can actually get down to business and start practicing from tomorrow,
