Hello everyone,

I'm new here. I'm Mieke, 41 years old and I live in Belgium.
I love portrait photography. It's not always easy because I'm sitting in a wheelchair. I have rheumatism since I was 7 years old.
I am optimistic in life. Photography makes me happy, it brings beautiful people on my path.

I made a small studio here at home in one of our bedrooms. And if I have a good day, I can be found there. I hope you can enjoy my portraits.

Hi Mieke and welcome to TP :)

If you have not already, have a good look around.......here at TP there are most (all?) photographic genre covered with many knowledgeable members to offer insight and support/constructive criticism should you just ask.

Portraiture is not a subject I pay much attention to but do post in any of the various fora as appropriate and the TPer's will be along!

Like you, I use a wheelchair and like to take portraits in my home studio. Not that I can get hold of any models currently - even my grandchildren are still staying away. :(

Hopefully, things will start to improve for all of us next year . . .
