Hello I'm new. Found the forum via my parter(Username - FSV). I am also new to photography. I currently own a Canon Powershot IS SX500 Camera which I am enjoying taking photos with. I also am learning how to use a D-SLR(When my partner lets me). Expect lots of silly questions to be asked haha.

Hi AJ and welcome!
I'm fairly new here, and you will find it a great resource. I have found everyone quite friendly and helpful. Enjoy taking photographs thats the main thing. I am actually in the reverse position, in as much as i'm trying to encourage my other half into photography. She has a CSC Panasonic G5 which is a good camera (most cameras now take good quality photographs).
I dont think she wants a DSLR something about "I'm not dragging all that around" :).

Anyhow welcome, lots of stuff to read here.... PS read my signature regarding silly questions!
