Hi, all,
As I have recently registered, I thought it about time I called in here. I have had an EOS400D for a couple of years now, and have been browsing the forum picking up ideas and tips since then. I know this may be heretical
here, but I see photography as a complement to my other hobbies/pastimes, so I'm still using the kit lens for the moment.
My main subjects are aviation, transport and steam rallies, and particularly West Country carnivals. This latter subject is one I find quite challenging and is where I would like to improve both my use and understanding of the cameras facilities. For those of you who may not know of the carnival tradition down here, here's a linky to the homepage of one of the biggest events, and I will post some of my shots from 2009 in the appropriate thread.
