Hello Everyone! Northern Light Tips Please!

Hello All, This site was recommended to me today as a brilliant website! There is certainly lots to read on here!!
I am going to Finnish Lapland soon, Can't wait
I am wondering if anyone has some good tips to capture the Northern lights, (that's if I am lucky enough to see them!)...

I have a Canon 400D!! Although I have had it 5 years my knowledge of photography is rubbish (luck more than judgement).

Hopefully TP will help me out!
