Hi all, Just wanted to inroduce myself. I'm Kris, 26 and from Sheffield. I'm new to talkphotography and new to photography in general. I recently bought myself a D3000 and haven't really had much opportunity to use it yet. However, I did have a chance to get out there and use it today at Crich Tramway Museum (nr Matlock), where I got chatting to a nice chap who recommended this site to me.
Iv'e done plenty of reading up on the subject, and feel that my theoretical knowledge isn't too bad, however the practical side of things will take a bit more time and effort! The topics I seem to have taken an interest in so far is landscape photography, and also wildlife (55-200mm lens is in the post as I type!). Also I am in the RAF, and aviation photography is something that I will no doubt tried my hand at once I become a bit more competent.
I'm looking forward to getting plenty of advise on shooting tips and kit in general, and over time I hope I will be able to offer advise to other newcomers to the hobby.
