Hi all! My name is Paul and I am brand new to the photography world. It has always been a subject that has interested me and I carry a point and shoot pretty much everywhere with me!

I have recently returned from holiday and was gutted that I couldn't capture better photographs! So here I am.... dipping my toes into the world of DSLR and "proper" photography!

Thanks for the welcome!
I have spent the past week researching and educating myself on all the terminology and processes involved including the latest entry level DSLR's.
Had hands-on in Bestbuy and was very impressed with the look and feel of the Nikon D3100.
I'll be off out this weekend having another look; sooner I get one then the sooner I can start taking photos!
I am a little bit disheartened that the classifieds section has a minimum criteria that needs to be met before even looking?
