As a long time lurker on these forums I thought I'd better say hello, especially as I've gained much useful information from you folks in recent weeks.
I've owned a Canon A1 for about 26 years and its been fantastic, until I bought an Ixus 400 and it's hardly been used since.
I recently decided that I missed the image quality of an SLR so I have bought a 40D and a couple of lenses and apart from the bewildering array of possibilities it offers I am really enjoying it so far.
