Hi everyone I,m another newbie , bit about me , I live in the Clydach gorge area nr. Abergavenny/Gilwern ,I have been into cameras and photography for over 40 yrs ,starting with a Coronet 120roll film camera and working my way up to 135mm with Nikon and Olympus slr systems amongst others and a host of compacts in formats from 110 ,aps, and 126 until I found once again none of these had the quality of 35mm film .
Hence I have been reluctant to enter the digital world other than in compact cameras which I have tried a few in the last few years mainly through the conveniance of thier body size as I do a lot of motorcycle touring even then I still take a roll film compact every so often .
I took the plunge this week and bought a 4/3 dslr namely the Panasonic lumix dmc g10 and although I am still playing around with it and not using it in ernest I am pleased with the results .
I love walking particuarly with my dog, I also love motorcycling and try to combine both with my love of photography riding at least one day of the weekend if not all of it weather permitting .
Anyway thats me briefly so if there,s anymore people out there who love the old cameras ,motorcycles ,dogs and countryside let me know .:bonk:

Hi Brian, welcome to the forum. Seems you have been into photography longer than people have been alive, and 3 times over! :D I'm betting you spend a lot of time in the Film Section. ;) Taking your camera when your walking the dog would be a good idea, get some great shots in the morning as well as night. :)

Hi Brian and welcome to TP

We all share a love of photography, so I look forward to seeing your shots

Welcome to the digital age, I hope you enjoy it :naughty:
