Names Ian & I have just got a Nikon D60 with 18-55 & 55-200 VR lenses.
My parents bought me a Pentax SLR (might have been a K1000) as a teenager 30+ years ago and I enjoyed taken a few pics.
Marriage & kids came along in my 20s and got fed up carrying the bag around so got rid for a point & shoot 35mm compact.
Have recently had a real desire to get back into it so bought the Nikon which has not yet been fired in anger.
Will probably ask plenty of stupid Q's in the weeks to come so hope you will bear with me - I might take the camera to Cheltenham races at the weekend so might get some advice before then.
