I've been lurking on another forum and Canon Bob recommended this lovely place to me, so here I am.
My name's Lisa, I'm 28, live in Northampton, and have loved taking photos since I was a kid. Getting my hands on a friend's DSLR was the best (and worst??) thing to happen, and now I'm just trying to get to grips with all the numbers and what they mean! (Maths is NOT my strong point.)
Had my 400D for a year now, love it to pieces (she's called Ripley, a strong, yet sexy female
) and try not to go anywhere without it (although I am in the market for a good p&s, I do miss having a camera I can just slip in my pocket). I collect dolls (Asian ball-jointed, or BJDs, made from resin) and photograph those mainly, but am looking for a good wide angle lens to take on the honeymoon next May for all that lovely European architecture. When I get back, it's macro lens saving time! I think I have an unhealthy love for macro, but it really is wonderful to have when photographing the dolls.
I feel a bit out of my depth still, so I'm hoping to learn an awful lot here and find a community that I feel comfortable in, rather than completely overwhelmed! Fingers crossed the learning comes sooner rather than later
