Hello all, i've got a want on me to buy a camera, either super zoom or a DSLR. There are so many cameras out there and i'm not doing great on choosing one.

Anyway, i'm glad to be part of this forum.

the Nikon manual is rubbish

get the D5000 by David Busch from Amazon - well worth the money

Thanks for the advice on the book folks, and about the canon...i had both in my hands and because i have big hands, the nikon d5000 seemed to suit me the best.
