Hello there,

I just thought I'd pop on and introduce myself as I expect I'll be using this forum to gather as much information and help over the next few months.

I'm Katie, 23 from Cambridge. I have now decided to turn my passion for photography into a career as well as a hobby. I'm starting a photography SLR course in January and hopefully after completion I'll find work experience with a photographer to get me up and running. It's something I've given much thought and the idea of it makes me grin, so I know I'm making the right decision.

In the future I'll aim to start up my own photography business doing freelancing at events and family photo shoots.

I currently own a Canon 1000D with a 30 - 55mm and a 75 - 300mm lens.

I'm going to set up a Flickr account soon so when I do I'll post the link so you can take a look at some of the work I do.

I hope to talk to some of you soon,

follow the dream! ive no idea where in photography i wanna be but i definitely always wanna be involved! travel, weddings, people, who knows i hope i find my niche! nice photos on yur flickr btw, youv got a good eye
 
I'm sure you will, hopefully it'll be soon! I took a look at your pictures too, very artistic, I like a lot! When I've got a spare moment I'll add more, there's 100's, whoops!

I personally don't like posed photo's, I like them to be natural shots. However, I did some photo's for my Sister who's recently had a baby and I got more praise from them pictures than I did any others so who knows!

I'll try and add some more soon :-).

Just to let you know I've added some more photo's to Flickr. Unfortunately the quality of the photo's aren't great as I had to download them off an album from FB as I appear to have lost the originals. Whoops!
