when i bought my D40 - the owners manual was rubbish....printed in grey text !
have a look at "Nikon D40/40X Digital Field Guide (Paperback)" at Amazon Books <£10
MUCH better than the manual.......... well worth it ..............

Yeah, have that already. Its the first thing I bought. I agree about the original manual.
waste of space. I'm happy with my D40x. Although its to he camera that takes the pictures.
Can be quite frustrating when you see a good pic, snap it and its not what you've seen at all. All comes with practice i suppose:bang:

there's been some stunning city landscape shots submitted by a D40 owner from around Glasgow -- dont let anyone say that lotsa Megapixels is the be all and end all
