Just joined up. Been browsing around and like the forum, so thought I'd join in as part of the effort to use my camera more.

Been using an SLR for a long time. Started with a Zenith and now have a Pentax *ist D and a Minolta scanner for my old film and trannies. Though I know Photoshop reasonably well now, I still consider myself a beginner in terms of what I know to what is possible. Digital is wonderful though far better than spending your time locked in a darkroom.

So without further ado, I'll go and have a look around.

OK, I'll change it to, I enjoy it far more than sitting in a darkroom, how's that?

It's a funny thing though. All the stuff that used to take ages in a darkroom, bas-relief, solarisation is now a bit of a cliche as it's so easy to do in PS. Still has it's place mind, with the right subject but it's an odd turnaround.
