Hi - I've been wanting to get into photography properly for a long time now and having just had a baby boy have decided now is probably the best time - sure to have plenty to snap! I have 2 months off work soon (being in the motor industry) and figure I'll have time to learn and experiment with my new camera - hoping to order a Samsung GX-10 twin lens kit tomorrow as this seems a great value package and fairly robust as I do alot of mountain biking.

Well the camera's ordered and should be here tomorrow - being a noob I don't want to get into bad habits from the off so can any can anyone recommend what I should be doing first or is it a case of just getting out and experimenting?
