Hi peeps, Im Ian from sunny kent new to this forum an new to photography too!
Going to start college in september to do a photography course but Im unsure what camera to go for I've got a rubbish point and shoot at the minute but was looking into entry level DSLR's along the likes of Sony A200 or the Canon 1000D any thoughts?

Hello & welcome.

Make sure you hold both the cameras.

My friend has the A200 & I have a 450d.The A200's handgrip was a little to
big for my hands & the Canon was too small for my mates hands.

Where about in kent are you based?

Thanks for all the welcomes guys.
Thats what i'll have to do i think go in (once I've the funds lol) and have a feel and see whats best, I have fairly large hands, I was thinking about the 450D too what do you make of it, Ease of use, Picture quality night/day etc?

I'm just out side of ashford about 20 minutes or so, Are you near there?

Im from Dover so not too far away.

Feel free to pop over & have a look at the 450d.Im sure my friend down
the road wouldnt mind you having at look at the Sony A200 as well.

Im still learning all this exposure/iso stuff but feel free to check my threads
for some of pics :thumbs:

Thats the thing thats confusing me, But I guess its all part of the fun :)
