Hello all I'm pretty new to photography as I only bought my first DSLR 8 months ago but am coming along in leaps and bounds.

I have always liked photography and friends and family always say I take nice photos, it was just making the leap to DSLR photography and having two young children (3 year old boy and 1 year old girl) inspired me to make the step up.

I have a Canon 550d with the 18-55mm kit lens and have also bought a canon 50mm 1.8 which is a great lens for the money!!
 
welcome to the forum, and a very expensive and addictive hobby, Im in Taunton, so almost neighbours :D

Cheers guys, I have joined a couple of photography forums in the past which were U.S based so it's nice to find one with some locals on :)
 
Plenty of yokels locals on here, new members always welcome and look forward to seeing some of your work :)
 
I'll dig out a few of my shots and post them in the relevant section, although I'm a bit hesitant to do so after looking at some of the examples posted on this site, some real amazing photos which I can only dream of coming close to!
