Firstly I would like to thank the admins for allowing the name change on my account.
Been close to nearly 5 years since I was last active on the forum. Previously posted as Michael 23. I had a really great time on here completing 10 52 week projects and a 365. My health was suffering and I ended up not having the ability to do much online. Fast forward to now and unfortunately my health is still very poor, I'm now in a wheelchair and unable to walk and stand for the foreseeable.
I still get out, no where near as much as I would like.
I wonder how many are still here that were posting. I remember everyone putting so much effort into running the 52 week projects
I will have to have a look around the forum and try and post something occasionally.

 :welcome: back

Welcome back Michael, I hope your health improves soon, get you out and about ;)

Good to see you have the desire “ to be back”. I’m somewhat disabled after broken hip surgery
Not a wheelchair but been house-bound since October
I find it hard to get motivated on “still-life” subjects — what are you doing ? Best wishes ❗

Hi Michael and good to have you back.
Thank You!

I totally understand that, when this happened I ended up in hospital and I was housebound when I got out. Finding inspiration for things was so hard. Took me a long while to even think. Even now I find it hard to concentrate on subjects. I very easily get tired. For something different my brother got me some little character rubbers, a little bit of amusement aided in trying to get some pics. Getting out when I can, but as I have to slide transfer accessing places is problematic. I really just hope for inspiration and then make sure I don't think too much on it.
Hope you improve.

Hi Michael, sorry to hear of your problems - welcome back.

Another wheelie here - life sucks, but we're stuck with it and I'm told it's better than being dead - how do they know?

I went from being superfit to being superfu**ed ten years ago - it slowly becomes more bearable, so keep up the fight.

The biggest problem I've found, has been learning how to deal with people's prejudice. Mastering wheelies and bouncing the chair down steps is a lot easier . . .

Thank you, I agree with you there. Mine is down to functional neurological disorder, and CFS on top. there is a possibility things will return, but it's not guaranteed and it's been a year with no improvement It's been quite the saga in terms of getting the help I need. But that has not happened. That is a very long story, needless to say I have been let down badly. But onwards and upwards and 1 day at a time and keep looking for distractions and positives.
