Hi everyone,

My name is Lee and i run a small printing company, providing canvas prints to clients. You can take a look at my website: http://www.moments2canvas.com

As the photographer is one of my target markets, i would love to know your thoughts on the following:

I am looking to provide a canvas printing service for photographers to allow them to offer this as an additional product for their customers. If you could answer the following and advise any further, that would be great!

Do you currently print your own photos or outsource?
What magazines do you read?
What websites do you use?
Would this service be of interest? I can provide a totally white-label canvas printing solution, whereby i provide the prints and you sell and distribute to your clients under your name.

Hi Lee

I just wandered across to your www sit and there seems to be some display issues with it. The text isn't aligned correctly, and I can't read any of the white text as it is sitting behind the small rectangular borders you have on the prices page. The site also froze when I went to go back to 'About' page... had to close it down. It didn't freeze by browser (Firefox on a Mac), but your site stopped responding.

As for canvas prints - all the best with this service, but you'll need to compete with the many onine services that currently exist and show your USP and thus why customers should use your services and not theirs.
 
It appears that the site Javascript stops responding for some reason. Whether or not it is that, I',m not sure but thats what it looks like.

Some of the rounded corner text boxes have text spilling out of them.

Also, I think your pricing page needs some work, I can't make head nor tail of it.

Aside from that, it's a well designed site, I like the colours, and once the problems are ironed out, I think it'll be fairly easy to navigate.

To answer your questions:

magazines - whatever takes my fancy really, i occasionally pick up a copy of digital photographer or amateur photographer, if I need something.

Websites - How long have you got :lol: Photography wise, this one, photobox, flickr plus a few others.

It might be of interest. I'll drop you a mail in the next couple of days.

Hello and WELCOME!!

Had a quick look at your site and there are 2 things I would change if I were you:

1) There are too many different text styles on your page,

2) The images are poorly compressed (vertical and some horizontal)

Otherwise it looks very nice.

Pity I would not be using your services but then you are half a planet away from me...:bonk:

Your post looks like an advertising pitch to me. Well worded to create some doubt but it will be removed soon unless you can show you do want to be part of the forum instead of just spamming the members.
 
Not spamming at all!

I want to converse with Photographers to see what issues they have and what is of value to them. I think you will find i didn't advertise at all.
 
Lee - I know you asked in your 1st post on tP that if anyone is interested, then they can email you. Well sorry, I doubt very much if anyone is going to email you asking for advice when this is a photography forum. This in part is what Robert is saying to you.

Fine, promote your activities, but become part of the community here and your post will more than likely remain, don't... and it will be removed. Your call matey.
 
I'm with Robert on this, at the moment this is looking like a rather cheeky and annoying canvassing of our members for information by what is obviously a commercial endeavour.
 
Whether or not you are "canvassing" us (nice one CT :D ) you need to sort your website out.

As Matty said, most of contents of the boxes are overflowing, your prices page is confusing and the contact page freezes. The site doesn't look very professional at all in my opinion and is not something that is going to attact any customers, even if the contact form worked !
