Does anyone have any experience of the Heliopan 105mm rubber hood?

I understand it's threaded and attaches to the 105mm filter accessory ring on the front of your filter holder. Can a polariser then screw into the hood?

I never use the manufacturer lens hoods - I'm usually using some sort of filter be it ND or GND.

I'm only considering the Heliopan due to an upcoming trip to Iceland. I'm wondering if it will serve any use in keeping spray / rain off the lens (without going the while hog of a Lee wide angle bellows hood).

Hi Sarah
I've just had a Quick look at Teamworkphoto.com who stock Heliopan filters ETC and according to them the rubber hoods do have threads on the front, I have no experience of actually using these hoods myself but I'm sure if you give them a ring they will be able to answer any questions you may have.
An alternative maybe to get a filter with a front thread and screw the hood to that.

Teamwork have been very helpful in the past so I probably will contact them. I wonder if it will turn out to be a bit of extra kit that doesn't get much use though...
