Anyone got any recommendations on long term parking at Heathrow?

Purple parking seems to be cheapest, but the reviews on transfer seems to be acceptable at best. Click Parking is second cheapest with good reviews, but their address isn’t a parking facility, so I think they drive your car away, but without a website or contact details, can they be trusted? Heathrow official supersaver parking is not that much more expensive, but can’t change/cancel after booking, and can’t find any wording on flight delays.

Leaning towards Click Parking due to price and good reviews, but their lack of contact details is slightly worrying. :shake:

Many hotels to good deals where you can stay the night before and parking is ok for 2 weeks - from memory it was pretty competitive with car parks, plus you get a relaxed start!

We have booked up 14 days parking in Dec at Heathrow T4 with an overnight stay at a mystery hotel ( think its a premier inn will look when I get home) total price for the 14 days at T4 plus 1 night in hotel and parking for said hotel is £114 but with that no cancellations etc allowed. Didn't think this was too bad a price.

I'm going for 28 days, flight at 22:30 so don't need hotels before hand, besides I'm only 45min away from Heathrow.

Thanks for the suggestion though, will remember that for next time.

If you are going for that length of time, and you're only 45 mins away, then the only option I would consider is a taxi/limo service. It'll work out cheaper and with less hassle.

Whatever you do, it'll be cheaper than parking at LCY

I'm 45min away if there's no traffic, motorway all the way, so distance-wise not that close.

Taxi will cost similar to driving and parking.
Coach for 2 people one way is also very similar priced, but have to pay local taxi to get to my door step.

Also, I'm coming back on 26th, so I'd like to contact them to make sure they operate on that date.

I've only ever used the official car parks at Gatwick and Stansted so can't comment on Heathrow, but make sure you go through Topcashback or Quidco and get a bit of cash back on your booking.

Having seen what goes on with some of those companies that take your car away and park it I wouldn't risk that option.

I used purple parking at Heathrow. Ended up stood around for 20 minutes as they lost my car keys! Also used them at Gatwick and they were tip top, great service.

Just come back from holiday, used Purple again (used them about 3 times).

Once I had a big complaint to them because I waited nearly an hour for the bus and the valet wasn't as good as I expected it to be for the price. BUT since then they seem to have really improved.

But Purple are really good, I wouldn't go back to Heathrow Long Stay anymore to be honest as the bus is a bit hard to get on with all your luggage where as with Purple you don't have to bring it on the bus - they put it in a container at the back of their minibus.

The only complaint now I have with Purple and this depends on the driver is that they don't always help you. Yesterday the guy in front of me said to the driver "Are you going to help me or just stand there and watch me?"

But I would recommend Purple :) they're great and cheap.

Official T4 long stay booked early is £111. But can't cancel or change, not a big deal. But more importantly not sure what happens if flight is delayed.

Purple Parking is quoted to be £80 odd for cheapest, £90 odd for "plus", which drives the car to the pick-up point for easier collection. I am liking the later option as after 14 hour flight, I'll want to get home faster.

John and Jake: Did you, use their cheapest service?

Reason I'm seriously considering parking rather than taxi is that parking is quoted at £90 due to booking early. Whereas taxi is quoted £60 one way, plus the trouble I have to go to to get to Heathrow when I leave. Coach is also £60 for 2 people. I'm leaving light weight, coming back with a lot of luggage and my fiancee after she's done her placement.

I've always used the cheap option. I think like all companies, sometimes things go wrong, but apart from waiting for my key it went smoothly. The Gatwick time went without a hitch.

Yep, the cheapest :).

We booked Purple Parking at Heathrow in June and was impressed with the cameras on entry to the car park. But was annoyed with the length of time and lack of buses on arrival back to UK to get us back to the car park - waited nearly an hour. But car was sat there safely when got back. The price you have for 4 weeks is quite good we paid £35 for 6 nights.

We used Purple parking back in August, and the service was pretty good on the whole.

As soon as we got into the baggage hall (T4) we called and they would have been there had we not lost a bag! We called them again when we finally got out, and they were there within about 10-15 minutes.

I'd use again. Good price, reasonable service.

always use meet and greet now. Last time it was £56 for a week and in May it was £90 for two weeks. No hanging around and getting on shuttle buses.

+1 for meet and greet. Even with a short bus ride to car parks it's such a hassle when you've got loads of luggage after a long flight.

At Gatwick I use Tudor Rose or Meteor. Heathrow is more expensive but I've been very impressed with the service from MBW (which is promoted through APH). Currently the best deal for meet & greet for a month seems to be about £115.

Thanks all! very helpful responses.

Purple Parking's Plus option is meet and greet on return, registering to become a member on their website gives discount, giving me around £94 for 4 weeks. I think I'm going to go with this option.

If you haven't bought already, let me check my email tomorrow at work. More often than not they send me a discount code, might not be any cheaper than what you've already found, but worth a shot.

Not yet, was planning to do it during weekend. If you can find a voucher code, it would be much appreciated!

Also worth checking out cheap car hire options too. If they have a drop off at the airport and will deliver and pick up from your home address then it might be as convenient as a good taxi but without the expense.

APH are worth looking at too. I've always used them and they're usually good and quite competitive. Use this link and you also get BT discounted rate. Don't worry, they don't check who you work for ;-)

Silly question, but no friends / family who will drop you off, and pick you up?

Thank you very much Jake for the voucher code!

Car hire costs similar to taxi due to one way charge.

Due to coming back during Christmas break, no, all my friends near by are from work who are graduates like me, they all go to their parents during Xmas.
