Yes
It has just hit us in the west country and it is lashing down, heading your way :D

No wet Robin shots today :(

It's lovely up here.

Not often I get to say that.

Think we're due to get the tail end of it.

Indeed it's time to polish the dust off the barometer and apply some WD40 to my ol' weather cock and see if I can add a bit more detail to the whole thing.

Right now, as I type, this stormy weather is being associated with a rapidly deepening low pressure system just off to the north west of the UK.

The South West and along the South Coast are areas that are most likely to be the worst hit as winds will average 40 mph with gusts of up to 80 mph in the early hours of Saturday and into the morning.

Gale force winds will affect the Midlands and the South East on Saturday morning. It will be accompanied with heavy blustery showers, although they will die out by the afternoon.

Sunday will be a lot calmer, albeit still rather on the changeable side with sunny spells and scattered blustery showers but winds will be a lot less strong.

But it doesn't end there as on Monday an another rapidly deepening low pressure (actually the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida) is set to sweep in from the south west to affect the south of the UK with further heavy rain and gale force winds.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel as the second half of next week should see to more settled conditions.

Be safe, guys 'n' gals!

Following on from the huge downpours and violent winds last night in Cheltenham, this morning is still very windy but the sun is out at the minute. Seeing as it's race weekend I am sure there will be more downpours and the horses will take to wearing wellies lol

*In edit*

The sun went pretty much as I posted this and now the wind has picked up and the rain has started to fall... I should so learn to keep my mouth shut lol

Just starting to pick up here. Lovely. Brilliant weather to be loading a truck up with a full rock PA rig, all the band kit, full lighting rig etc. I'm going to get frickin' soaked!

Been a while since I've done a doodle, so here it is. It was meant for a weather web site I'm a member off, but I might as well show it in here as well.

Hope everyone is being safe in this spell of rather wild weather, it's most certainly very blustery at this neck of the woods.

It's blowing hard off the Solent here, my neighbours fence is about to come into my garden!

Your chap is a good indicator of weather is it?

If it's gone blue, it's cold.
If it's red, it's hot.
If It is casting a shadow, it's sunny.
If it's gone all white, it's snowing.
If it is leaning to the left, it's windy.
If I can't see it, it's foggy.
If it is spinning around . . . tornado!
