Heads Up For You Fans of The X Files

The actress who plays the character Sveta in the second one is quite something.

Anita Devi "Annet" Mahendru is an Afghan-born Russian–Indian-American actress.
Mahendru is fluent in German, Russian and English, and also speaks French, Persian and Hindi
and has a degree in English.

Looks like she has hardly had a day off since she started working as an actor.

I take no-one was too impressed then? I didn't bother watching the last 10 minutes, so might catch up with it now.

I haven't watched it yet!
Tonight I shall!

I enjoyed it very much. Can't wait for the next episode. I think they've done the transition very well to the 21st century whilst maintaining the original characters.

Based on the first episode, thumbs up from me.

She's very good in The Americans.

Off topic, but still on in a way :)

Another favourite actress of mine, keeping with ability, is Olga Kurylenko. (I'm probably one of the few who enjoys Hitman repeatedly!)
Raised in relative poverty by her mother after her parents separation. Discovered by a model scout at the age of 13.
She funds a charity for underprivileged children in her home region in Ukraine (reportedly to the sum of $10 million)
Speaks Russian, English, French and Spanish fluently, and is learning German and Dutch.

Some people seem able to do languages, one of my friends can - fluent in English, French and Italian and can get by in Swedish. Me, after five years of study I'm still struggling with Italian - some French crept in during my last lesson and I stopped learning that in 1985!

I get by in French, Spanish and Italian - I can order beer/wine and can say thank you :)
But seriously, I was asked what part of Paris I came from last time I was there

I forgot to mention learning Mandarin for Olga! She comes across as a very capable, driven woman, and to use $10 million of your own money to help others in a similar situation as her own childhood...

and she's attractive :)

I'd say some people have all the luck, but in her case it is self made.

Still not seen the first one!! :runaway:

Loved it and also looking forward to the next episode.

At least you are still trying. Kudos to you. In general us Brits are shamefully rubbish at speaking a foreign language.

I enjoyed it, they've done a very good job at maintaining the look and feel of the original shows.

Finally watched it!
I'm impressed too...they've kept the 'feel' of the old show :-)
Mulder's looking a bit haggered and Scilly a bit botoxed (possibly), but it's good to see them back!

Oh...and Cancer Man....creepy or what?!

He just keeps getting better and better...

Can't say I was overly impressed, think I'll be giving it a miss

I'm quite enjoying the series. It's consistent.
Anyway, Happy Incept Day, Pris :)

I'm being stalked by a hermit!

:D

She's scary, demonic even, in her last 1 1/2 minutes.

That's ok. I've been out on a stag party in Newcastle, nothing I haven't experienced before :)

Yes me too. Can't wait.

Don't fear Chris we know JP saves his kisses for you [emoji6]
Phewwww had me worried then, thanks for putting my mind at ease

Before my time :)

However, bye bye baby, don't cry....I was close. :-)
