I enjoy my HDRs, and learnt using multiple shots... but I'm not going to lie, sometimes I find it less hassle just to take one RAW, and then create 3 different exposures... Just what is the difference in quality when you do it that way?

Well true HDR will need more dynamic range than can be captured by a single shot(even raw), your also evening out any grain by using multiply shots so there should be less noise, that said if your shooting a moving subject then you have to work from a single shot.

alright guys, i'm knew to this HDR game and ive done a few ones recently just experimental ones of my bathroom etc (ha).

True HDR allows the dynamic range of a very bright scene to be compressed so it can be shown on an ordinary monitor or a print.
The first one of your pics shows a great deal of noise which is often usual in HDR but it also shows your sensor is incredibly dirty!
This is another consequence of HDR especially when you turn up the sliders.
All my HDR or FDR (http://www.flickr.com/photos/20926615@N05/sets/72157629956345817/) pics go through noise reduction using Neat Image AND a few minutes cloning out MY sensor spots!
But it depends what you're trying to achieve with your HDR pictures.
for instance the bathroom picture is the result of turning up the sliders to achieve a different look but the highlights are burned out which is what HDR is supposed to avoid.
And the night scene would have been much improved with no noise and no sensor dirt.
But it does take some time to understand how you can get the best out of HDR.
