hi

can anyone give me some starters on HDR imaging works? - is it as simple as taking some pictures with exposure bracketing defined, and then "playing" with them in Photoshop?

i am sure theres been various posts on this in the past, so just after some pointers how to get started to move into the HDR world

Hey, slightly OT but where can you get photomatrix from?

Im interested in trying out HDR too, and that website gazedd posted looks really informative

Cool :) Is it worth getting the pro version?
 
I have Photoshop and there is a Plug In for it to make the HDR effect and it works quite well and is a LOT quicker than trying to do it stage by stage

Its called ReDynaMix HDR and can be found on www.mediachance.com.

Everything you need is in my guide, linked to by gazedd. It has examples of Photoshop vs Photomatix. Photomatix Pro is what you need and what most people use to do HDR.
