Hi, i'm looking for help on HDR images - How is it done? & What do you need to create them?

Image editing software i have is GIMP 2.6 and Photoscape + a Canon 350D SLR and i'd really like too do some HDR shots.

I can only get trail software or free software as i dont have much to buy the really good stuff.

you really need to spend some dosh
photomatix is my choice, you can try it for free but it puts a big watermark across the results
best tutorial.... search for vanilla days

Have a look at Topaz labs.com they do two plugins "Adjust" & "Detail" both could suit your budget, free trial downloads are available check if they are compatible with your own software.

this site has a reasonable explanation & some trial software that lets you create a pseudo hdr image from one jpeg

it watermarks along the bottom of the image on the trial version but you can crop that off afterwards

You could try this http://qtpfsgui.sourceforge.net/ is open source so is free forever

I have not used it myself, so am not endorsing it in anyway :shrug:

I use a freebie on JPEGS and get fine results.

You don't need to spend much money at all.
