HDR Problem

Hi
I use photomatix for HDR.
Sometimes I get the "edge" around the items in the picture.
Take the photo below for example. Notice the difference in the blue sky closer to the buildings. This was on a tripod so not camera shake. When you look at the originals they are exactly the same place.
Have I got a setting wrong ?

It is called a halo and is a common problem with HDR. The main culprit setting in Photomatix for causing it is the Strength and Luminosity sliders. Smoothing/Light Smoothing can also effect it. Looking at that shot I would maybe suggest lowering the luminosity and increasing the strength. Sometimes they are just unavoidable though and it is one of those things the HDR does :(

P.S I have moved this to the Image Editing section rather than Talk Nature :)
 
I'd start with setting a higher light smoothing and see if that helps.
