I like the "when HDR was not such a good idea" thread. I've seen some shockingly bad examples in the past, but it also reminded me that I've seen some I think are fantastic.

Lets's share some examples of where it's been used to good effect. Not exclusively your own shots, but if there's one you're particularly proud of, feel free.

I've never attempted HDR myself but am a fan of some of it, like this and this*
I encourage you to browse the rest of that guy's photos as there are some superb shots there.

*I am pretty sure these are both HDR but not 100%...
 
If those two are hdr then they have been done beautifully. I think you are right..and to me they have been done for the right reasons.

And how the devil does he get his images so beautifully sharp... now that is how Id like mine to be.
 
Second one I would think is chiefly due to polariser and red filter effect.
 
Perhaps you are right about the 2nd. I find it hard to tell sometimes...

I didn't know this was HDR 'til I was told. It's got superb contrast with no blown highlights or shadow areas too dark. What HDR was meant for!

Anyone else got any examples to share?

am liking those a lot
takes some doing to retain the image without the cheese
with digital HDR is really helpful I think because of limited dynamic ranges if you can't use a grad filter.
