Hi All,
Has anybody noticed any difference in displayed colours when using a HDMI cable as opposed to the standard analogue type.

I have heard that the analogue cable displays some colours better.

ive always found digital to product a cleaner image.

also if what you say was true, why are all new connections digital (hdmi, DVI, displayport) rather than analogue (scart, vga) :)

I agree that all the new equipment is digital (I use DVI) but if you compare digital to analogue can you see a difference?
 
Yes digital is clearer :) I've done side by side testing on identical monitors

Also, don't believe anyone who says more expensive digital cables give better pictures. A digital cable either works or doesn't.
 
Always go for digital. Some laptops send a signal with visible flicker over analog when connected to AC outlet. I was gobsmacked to find out.

I have seen some nasty interference from phones and bluetooth on a certain £20 DP cable :gag: You either get lucky or not
