I ordered my new 7D from HDEW on Monday afternoon and it arrived this morning (Wednesday) at 07:30. Camera is boxed (not a kit box with the lens removed) with all accessories and a three year warranty is included.

To say I am impressed is an understatement, if it wasn't for HDEW I wouldn't be able to afford a 7D, £849 delivered is currently £225 cheaper than the best price from a UK retailer according to Camera Price Buster.

Battery is now on charge and I can't wait to play :).
 
I bought my 550d from HDEW a couple of weeks ago and I thought they were fantastic too.
 
I'm a little concerned that their policy is to send to a repairer for an estimate, should an item develop a fault after seven days. This does not seem to be compatible with consumer law. A replacement or refund is the correct remedy after such a short period.

If I was a professional photographer who had to rely on my kit to meet obligations and earn my living it would concern me too. In fact I would shop exclusively at Calumet or WEX regardless of cost.

As a simple enthusiast I am willing to risk some inconvenience to make the saving and I do actually trust Canon to make a reliable product. Now to put that battery in and see if it works ;)..
 
Yes the time away for repair vs the saving I've made plus an extra 2 years warranty made it an easy decision for me, but then I don't have to rely on my camera for work.
 
Got my 7d from them two weeks ago they were excellent
Bet theve sold loads at that price
If it did go wrong I would just send it to Canon as hwdw are based in the UK so canon UK Will cover it
 
I ordered my 5D MkII from there last year and received great service from them. So much so, I've just ordered a 5D MkIII from them today. Can't wait for delivery. Yay!
