Just thought I'd let you know that, on Friday, I ordered a 7d from HDEW Cameras. It's a grey import but they provide a 3-year warranty. The price was £999 plus I asked if it could be sent recorded delivery, so an extra £10.

Unfortunately, they said that they were out of stock (even though their site said in stock?) but that they would be getting some more on Monday - I've heard stories of people waiting for weeks to get their orders but, on Tuesday at 12:00, everything arrived just as described. The camera hadn't been touched (I know some companies seem to sell display models from shops).

Ordering (by phone) was really simple and the woman I spoke to was really helpful on a number of occasions, so it's a big :thumbs: from me!

Can vouch for HDW too - ordered a 7D from them, and they delivered it next day, which was a Saturday. I was considering swapping one of the lenses I bought from them, and they were more than happy to do it for me. I was going to take it on holiday with me on Canada - they said to take it and try it - if it wasnt what I wanted, they'd swap it with another lens.

Friendly and knowledgeable - top marks in my books, and where I'll be heading for my 5D mk 2 soon.
 
Just bought my 5D from them too - again, top service.
 
I got a 50D from them recently. Completely trouble free transaction. Very helpful on the phone. I'd buy from them again.

That would put me off buying from them as I would be asking myself what happens to all the kit that is returned as used, do they have a used section ? or is it repackaged and sold on as new!.

See that Amazon are fulling their orders on their Amazon site...

So if thats the case does it mean that Amazon are slling "grey/imported" goods now :shrug:

In fairness, most places have a return policy, so its not unusual. In this instance, they allowed me to take the lens away, which was good, I thought. I dont know if they return it to the supplier or what the deal is. I havent had cause to suspect that my parts were used before so have not asked the question.
 
im looking for a 7D at the moment. But if they are grey imports that puts me off alittle
 
No probs with HDEW, 7D, great service, give them a call to ease your mind,

Wow the D90 body is only £530 on there!!!!
