Why PC link important? will you be wanting to use it as a monitor or stream films from a PC.
If its going to be used alot as PC monitor then an LCD would most likely be the safest and options due to image retention issues on some cheaper plasma's
The LG above does seam to get some pretty decent write ups. But i'll throw another one in the mix.

But if your only streaming video's by pc and will primarily be whatching stand defination feeds then a plasma will be the best route, but at 37inch your quite limited to numbers.
The Panasonic is very good, although its only 720p as oposed to 1080p but for the most you will not notice a great of differance on that size screen on SD feeds, and being plasma will be better the a 1080p LCD.

or you could consider a 42inch plasma LG which is getting some good write ups, not quite as good as the Pannny's but not far of, they do deal with a surround sound system for under £800 to again 720p

IF you can push you budget slightly futher then you can get a full 1080p set in both series.

My old LG plasma did suffer from image rentention but was fix with its white was program so was never really much of an issue, but image retention has never shown on the Panny at all, but dont fooled, image retention and screen burn can happen on LCD's too. Ok screen burn is very hard to get these days, provided you run a Plasma screen in as per manufactor specs. I have no fears playing the WII or Xbox on my Panny Plasma, and i have played it for 3-4 hrs without any issue.
Sony do make a great sound system though, i have one coupled to a Panny 81 series with optical connection i use the sony for my sound all the time, as pretty much every flat panel tv has pretty poor sound.
LG do make some nice telly's my last was one, my mum now has it, but be warned there QA isnt as good as some-one like Sony, and there customer services can be poor at times if anything does go wrong. However i got mine from Currys and got the insurance included in the price, when i did get a problem (acident broken screen) it was fixed no questions asked.
