Recently been filming a bit of HD footage for YouTube at work. We've bought a panasonic SD90, quality is impressive for the price but it records in .m2ts format which won't load into premiere pro CS3 on windows. However it will load into CS5 on mac? Seems that I need to convert it into another format to edit it. I've managed to convert it into .mp4 using premiere on the mac but when I'm back at work using CS3 on XP I wont be able to edit it? Any ideas on video converting software for PC?

Annoying that you can't directly edit the raw 1080p footage with CS3. Has anyone had any dealings with this file format as I guess it's not the only camera that uses it

Any help appreciated

I use MPEG Streamclip as a batch conversion program. Its free and seams to work quite quickly.
