I've listed my Elements 8 disc on an auction site because i now have bought Photoshop Elements 10.
My question is i'm planning to buy Lightroom 4, i've never used LR so would it be a good move to have both ?

I've heard great things about Lightroom.

Lightroom is a great piece of software to have, I have both LR and Photoshop CS5 and I use both for different reasons, I tend to catalog and do my developing in LR and if I want more control with layers and other tools, I simply send the image to Photoshop.
I haven't used elements, so, cannot really comment on that, but, LR is definitely a step in the right direction.

Thanks Kry Elements 10 now has curves as well as levels which only 8 had, also a really clever clone tool, just wanted to confirm in my mind if it's worth the extra software in LR4. Thanks for your thoughts

The colpiment each other well, elements for the more complicated editing such as cutting and pasting and cloning, and Lightroom for the basic editing.

Nice one I can't wait now :-)

Lightroom and elements10 make a very good combination. If I didn't already have PS I'm not sure I wouldn't just go for elements for the majority of my retouch work. I don't think I use Photoshop more than 5% of the time now.
