Thought id have a go at editing some of the shots i have taken today.

i was going for the black and white background with colour, just seeing how it looked.

Most will say they dont like selective colouring

I like the first!

Try just desaturating the background a little but not so all the colour is gone and see what you think, can help to make a subject stand out a little

Nice job - ladybirds always seem to work well with SC and I also like number 3

thank you jim yes there so colourful and bold i quite like it. im not too keen on #4 mind..x

i did some selective colouring of shots at my mates wedding a few years ago.. looking back at them now, they are cringeworthy - but it does have a place in the right shot.

i think simply by knowing how to do the SC will help with other forms of post processing, so it's worth learning about and then adapting / playing around with as you see fit

as for your shots.... i think the golf flag works best

thanks leigh, yes i was just playing around and learning a little as im not used to using gimp. i like to use photoshop but i dont have it at the minute. im not too keen on that one for some reason i carnt put my finger on it but thank you..x
