Having a go at HDR

Hi All,

I know the technique of HDR is contentious to say the least, but I wanted to have a go at it. I've taken bracketed photos, but, do I need to do all the standard edits (WB, levels, sharpening etc) before I convert to HDR, or do I do these to the final HDR image?

I do all the edits after, but that is mainly because I shoot in RAW and import the three bracketed raws into Photomatix, so any changes I made in Lightroom wouldn't be applied to the RAW anyway. Just make sure you save the HDR/tonemapped shot as a tiff so you have a big more scope for fiddling than you would with jpeg.
