Seriously windy here in Elgin just now . Just wondered how the wind is else where .
 
Not too breezy here this morning, although the Soup I had for lunch yesterday( Cullen Skink) made last night a bit blustery.
 
Conditions have been nasty for hours here on the Clyde coast. Prestwick Airport is recording average winds of 40-50 mph (47mph at 11am but down to 41mph at 1pm). No damage yet, thankfully but the worst is still to come according to the BBC news.
 
Gusting about 50mph here and the rain is coming down! Winds set to be bad until tomorrow but rain should ease!! Hopefully!
 
Quite windy in Stoke. It has been for a couple of days. Can hear all sorts of weird creaks in the roof space so I might be sleeping in a hard hat tonight...
 
Gusting quite strongly in snechy, no where near as bad as it's meant to be down in Gasgow though.
 
We've just been sent home an hour ago,too dangerous on the building site,for once health and safety works in our favour .

Cairngorm summit weather station recorded a gust of 151 mph. Been up to 70 mph near Glasgow.
 
It's very windy here, popped to Asda earlier and several of the trolley shelters had blown over.... They're bolted to the ground!

Cairngorm speed has now been trumped by a gust of 165 mph.

Yep, tis windy here, the telegraph pole outside is looking decidedly less vertical than last weel!
 
I've been out strapping down the obsy roof, wind is picking up and gusting even more now.
 
Pretty windy in Reading - open the car door into the wind and it slams shut on you.. Couple that up with the pouring rain and it makes for an interesting dash from the car to the front door :lol:
 
Just gotta laugh at those skim words :lol:
 
Tad breezy here, Forth Rd bridge closed causing traffic to cut through town heading for the alternative,choc a block around here for hours now. We're still at work till finishing time for us even though the police are advising not to drive unless absolutely necessary, I drive a delivery van too.
