Have I over-cooked this?

As you will see I am a complete novice when it comes to PP. However, being a bit disappointed with some recent photos - due to haze - I thought I would have a go. Can you tell me if I'm on the right track with the second picture or not. But please be kind :)

EDIT: I did the PP on my 'everyday' PC and monitor and have now looked at the pics on a different monitor. Oddly, the original picture doesn't look as bad
and the second one looks very dark! Perhaps I'd better try to calibrate the other monitor. Grateful if someone could tell me if the second one looks too dark to you just to confirm what I think. Many thanks, Al

Al

Thanks very much for that. I'll try that later.

Is the second one better - have trie to reduce the green? Seems to have lost a bit of the 'edge but it might be my eyes!

Thanks,
Al

that last one looks spot on to me..

but what annoys me to hell is why do we spend all this money on buying great cameras & then have to bump up the colour in PS to make it look like it should.. ?

ive found out im not happy with the colours that come out of my 600d & find me bumping up almost every photo im taking later on in PS.. if thats the case i may as well have just used a cheap point n shoot & done the same thing. ..

Thanks very much. In this case the original pic (see opening post) had a lot of haze. I can't blame the camera for that :)

Are you shooting in raw - that could be part of why and if not try the different modes that your camera provides, even a different white balance can make a lot of difference
