have I got a duff 24-70..

Hi all,

I am a little concerned that I might have a duff canon 24-70 lens as I do getting a fringe of colour on some edges from time to time. It tends to be a shade of either green or blue and if you take a look at this shot you will see a blue/turquioise fringe around a section land right in the middle of the frame. Is this normal or is it a sign of it being faulty..?

seems pretty normal if you take photos like that wide open with strong high to low contrast transitions. dont worry about it. no one will notice. seriously!

CA is normal for most lenses, but you do need to correct it in post.

If it is duff it would show up in many other ways.
