:clap:I purchased a Jessops 360 AFD flash gun probably about two years ago and have rarely used it. Recently, having replaced my Canon 450D with a 5D mark II, I wanted to increase my knowledge of flash photography and played around with the flash gun to get familiar with its different modes. Although the flash operated the exposure always seemed to be wrong. Always over exposed. The display however didn't reflect the aperture nor ISO setting faithfully. The pamphlet that came with the flash has very basic instructions and was no help to remedy my problem. Was I doing something wrong? A trip to Jessops was required.
I explained the problem to the assistant and he tried my flash on another camera and the same fault was present. Ok, now try another flash on my 5D. No problem with my camera. So the problem was the flash was not receiving communication from the camera. Essentially the flash was faulty.
Do you have your original receipt he asked? Did you obtain an extended warranty? No, I said. I was thinking I probably need to buy another one at this point.
He went to seek advise from the his manager.
When he returned he said that all they can do is exchange the flash for new. Wow!!
Not only that but they included a further three years warranty. Amazing!!
So my hat’s off to Jessops. Beat that if you can.

Always good to hear some positives rather than the usual negative stories. Well done jessops
