Hi. Just wondering if there's much of a market for Hasselblad cameras. A friend wants to sell one, just wondered if anyone knows where is a good place to sell - e.g. ebay.
Thanks.

Terrible market, can't give them away. Has been like that for some time.

I can arrange safe disposal.. .. ;)

yeah no one wants film cameras these days ,,scrap value really ,,,maybe someone on here might take it off your hands if you pay the postage but apart from that ,,,,:D

Yep, no interest in here at all in such scrap....

They sell really terribly on ebay and through a whole load of different dealers- they fetch an absolute pittance. The size of the pittance will of course depend on the model and what comes with it.

Take no notice of those two ^^*edit three*, its worth at least a tenner......PayPal ok ??

:D

Srsly though, I dunno what the rules are regarding the sale of goods that don't belong to the seller, but you could do a lot worse than trying here..

Tell them to keep it and buy my 180mm lens.

You will need to know model, lens, back, finder, condition etc before a resonably accurate price could be given.

Some of the comments above shock me... it's worth TWICE what they have mentioned, more like £20! :D

In all seriousness (yikes!) - yes, there is still a strong market for them. You can buy them off fleabay but for expensive precision camera equipment, I'd personally give it a miss and get it from somewhere with a better reputation on this sort of stuff. Aperture UK, Peter Loy, Peter Walnes, Vintage & Classic Camera Company are all businesses that come to mind*. You pay a fair amount, but with it comes expertise and warranty.

*there are many other reputable companies that deserve your friend's business, they just haven't sprung to mind yet.

Cheers! I'll either suggest he joins tp or try the sources u mention. He thiuhgt it wirth iro £1500 but open to offers ...

Apologies - I thought you said your friend wanted to buy one. My post is slightly null as a result! :bang:

is there any chance you couldput pics up or get a complete list of the for sale items? there might well be £1500 there depending on what lenses and extras there are

Will do. I'll see him again next week.
